About Anh

Hello! My name is Anh and like Nina, I also hate talking about myself so I too will be short and sweet. Also, I like copying Nina, a habit I have developed from our sixth grade years.

My real name is Vietnamese and I've had numerous official name changes so I won't get into all of that. But I go by Anh, pronounced like Ann or Anne. This is not how it is supposed to be pronounced, though, and Vietnamese people with this same name may correct you. They will be right. ;-)

I've been married for 24 years and have 4 kids--two  are in college (so technically not kids anymore) and two still at home.

Here are 10 things that you will most definitely find not fascinating:

  • I homeschooled my first two kids from preK through their senior year. They go to reputable colleges, so it can be done (and is done, quite often!). My third entered public school her sophomore year and my youngest is still homeschooling and will likely do so until he graduates.
  • I am on a quest to run a half marathon in all 50 states.
  • I was born in Saigon, Vietnam and came here in 1975 as a war refugee.
  • In the US, I've lived in CA (briefly), GA, WV, LA, FL, MD, and TX.
  • Some things I love start with a "c" but not all: cooking, eating, reading, writing, dogs, traveling, cookies, coffee, tea, and swimming.
  • I've been a Beatles fan since fifth grade, an Orioles fan since 7th grade.
  • I have been on every continent except Antarctica, but I have a plan to go there some day!
  • I became a Christian when I was 19 and have not looked back.
  • I am extraverted and judging but those other 2 letters are different each time I take that test so I think I'm close on those. I don't really know what the Enneagram is or means but whenever I take a free online test I get a 2.
  • I will always love Cal Ripken, Jr.

That is it for me! Like Nina, I may update as things progress! Have a great day!
