This year I wanted to make the challenge a little harder so I said I could only use photos that I took within the week. I would have otherwise used a race photo, but I am using this one that I took instead. I'm here in San Diego, to attend the memorial of a dear friend who passed a little over a month ago, after a long battle with breast cancer. She was well loved, so many friends and family will testify to her kind and gentle nature, her beautifully cheery disposition, her warm friendship to all who knew her. She's not on FB so I won't name her, but this tree is a representation of eternal life, of productive fruit, and deep roots. RIP my dear friend.
