When I read Song of Solomon, I imagine that the lovers as being so young and beautiful and full of passion. But my beautiful one is this balding guy with the belly and the creases around his eyes when he smiles. He's going to be 57 years old tomorrow, and we celebrated both his birthday and Pi Day tonight with a triple-berry birthday pie. We had just a few neighbors over and had a good celebration with dinner, wine, pie, and kids.
My heart is full tonight! Life is good.
