For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beauty perishes. So also will the rich man fade away in the midst of his pursuits. (James 1:11)

Fading zinnia, Grovetown, Georgia, November 9, 2021.

This photo was taken in late fall. You can see the that the fading of the flower has begun. It was one of the few flowers left in our company garden that hadn't dried up and turned brown.
